Job Description: INTRODUCTION:
As a preferred supplier for Roche Basel, we are looking for an individual as a Digital Biomarker - Data Scientist (m/f/d). This is a full-time position with a start date on 01.01.2025 or 01.03.2025 at the latest and a one-year duration. Remote/Home Office: max. 50%.
ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION:
Analyze clinical and digital biomarker data from various studies to develop and improve our digital biomarker solutions.
Support the digital biomarker evidence generation activities with statistical modeling and analysis expertise.
Be responsible for a work package: break down a business question into planned work, follow up on work in progress, risk assessment, communicate on progress and results, read literature, write reports and publications.
Contribute to development and maintenance of statistical analysis pipelines.
REQUIRED PROFILE:
Minimum Master's degree in biomedical engineering, bioinformatics, statistics, computer science, engineering or related technical fields.
Minimum 3 years experience and in-depth knowledge of applying statistical methods such as linear mixed effect models, mixed models for repeated measurements and survival analyses.
Proficient with Python and R (e.g., Pandas, SciPy, mmrm, lme4, matplotlib, seaborn, plotly, ggplot).
Sound knowledge of best software development practices: unit testing, documentation, version control.
Able to discuss with and understand various stakeholders (data scientists, clinical managers, biostatisticians, business development managers, etc.).
Strong analytical and statistical skills combined with conceptual thinking and structured working.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
Nice to Have: Experience with regulatory frameworks such as V3+.
Disease and clinical trial knowledge, especially in movement disorders.
Experience with working in a cloud environment.
