Payroll Manager (Switzerland and Germany)
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Manager to manage a team processing large volumes of payrolls for multiple entities in Switzerland and Germany.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing in accordance with federal, state, local, and regulatory requirements.
2. Lead and develop a high-performing payroll team based in Switzerland and Germany, meeting service level agreements and targets.
3. Serve as the first point of escalation for complex payroll-related matters, responding to employee queries escalated from the Service Centre.
4. Interpret policies and regulations regarding leaves, disability, allowances, one-time payments, and garnishments, working with vendors to ensure correct application.
5. Identify and implement process improvements within assigned payrolls, collaborating with the Global Payroll Process Lead.
6. Support internal/external audit processes, ensuring regular finance, compliance, and audit reporting is delivered on time. Lead audits and reconciliations of payroll data.
7. Review payroll policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational policies.
8. Collaborate with the Global Payroll Process Lead to define payroll requirements related to projects or enhancements, perform User Acceptance Testing, document results, and update user guides.
Your Profile:
1. Bachelor's degree in HR/Accounting or Diploma in Payroll.
2. 6-8 years of experience managing a large payroll team processing end-to-end payroll for multiple countries with over 4500 employees total. Exposure to TLM, taxation, audit, and compliance.
3. Strong payroll team management, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
4. Strong leadership and engagement, with high-level analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
5. Process management and business process analysis competencies, with demonstrated ability to support complex HR/Payroll models.
