The Legal & Compliance team in Switzerland is responsible for the legal, compliance and regulatory matters of AXA XL’s Swiss companies and branches. To complement our team, we are looking for an engaged, interested and competent candidate who would like to support the team in various corporate, legal and compliance matters.
The position will require working with the Head of Compliance & Regulatory Affairs Switzerland and the General Counsel Switzerland. The individual will enjoy working as part of a busy team providing services within AXA XL to the Swiss entities and branches.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
* Support company secretarial services for the Swiss entities and branches, including finalizing agendas and circulation of papers, time-management of meeting dates, corporate housekeeping.
* Support on complying with corporate governance, regulatory and compliance requirements.
* Knowledge management of Swiss corporate documents.
* Supporting the Swiss General Counsel in its day-to-day duties, including drafting and reviewing insurance and non-insurance legal agreements.
* Supporting the Swiss Legal & Compliance team on matters brought to its attention ad-hoc.
* Collaboration with various departments such as Finance, Underwriting and Middle Office.

We are looking for a motivated individual who has the following abilities and skills:
* A relevant law degree qualification.
* Knowledge of Swiss corporate and company law in general.
* Understanding of financial services and the (re)insurance market is an advantage.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in German and in English; other languages are a plus.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Proficient in MS Office (especially Word and PowerPoint) and legal research tools.
* Strong time management and organizational skills.
* Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
* Ability to work in an international, multicultural high-paced environment within financial services.
* Ability to prioritize conflicting needs and progress matters expeditiously.
* Being proactive, open to ad-hoc topics and support the team also outside the essential responsibilities.
