Mission Statement
The Global Product Specialist is accountable to ensure competitive position, strong value differentiation and technological leadership for the assigned products/product line(s), thereby contributing to customer satisfaction and profitable growth for the products/product line(s). The Specialist serves as a key point of contact between Relationship Managers and clients, acting as a subject matter expert in the area of coverage. Responsibilities include supporting new product development and delivery, answering queries, offering advice, and introducing new products. The Specialist organizes sales visits, demonstrates/presents products, and establishes new business. Optimizing the profit and economic value of a portfolio of clients while leading origination efforts to acquire new clients and up-sell to existing clients in alignment with business goals is crucial. A Specialist Professional (P4) is a recognized subject matter expert in the job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities typically include managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from a manager, coaching, reviewing, and delegating work to lower-level professionals, as well as addressing difficult and often complex problems.
Your Responsibilities
Follows and understands global standards, market and customers’ requirements and their impact on the assigned product portfolio.
Manages technical specifications of assigned products and supports the Global Product Manager in developing the business case for product developments, enhancements, maintenance, cost reduction, and Transfer of Technology (ToT).
Collects and analyzes standards, market requirements, customer needs, and values as input for producing a product roadmap.
Conducts competitor analysis, including identification of product gaps.
Prepares product market communication materials, including support for new product launches.
Clarifies product positioning within the portfolio with defined values per product line/product to address different segment needs.
Supports the Global Product Manager in developing Market Requirement Specification (MRS) for product development, enhancement, and ToT projects.
Participates in product market introduction and supports performance analysis if negative development occurs vs G2.
Drives internal benchmarks as per the defined GPG Benchmark procedure, conducts analysis, shares results with Hubs/factories, defines improvement actions by factory, and tracks implementation.
Keeps Product Group, Sales, and channels informed on topics related to the product, such as new product availability, market, competition, quality, configuration, trends, and limitations.
Provides sales and technical support, participates in customer meetings, and attends trade shows on request while supporting marketing programs.
Supports technical solutions across the product line and follows activities to govern product management for assigned products/product line(s) during their lifecycle.
Prepares white papers for relevant customer events and ensures appropriate training material is available for use both internally and externally.
Drives technical solutions across the product line and analyzes customer feedback (VoC, NPS, and other forms of surveys, Workshops, CCRP) to define actions for improving customer satisfaction levels.
Maintains and follows the annual cycle of activities to govern product management for assigned products.

Your Background
Engineering degree.
Total 10+ years of experience in R&D, product development, and engineering.
Product Management skills with strong technical knowledge of Distribution Transformers.
Knowledge of market/customer needs.
International experience and intercultural sensitivity.
Structured and analytical thinking.
Networking, leadership, superior communication, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
