Are you passionate about driving innovative projects in the biotech and pharmaceutical sector? We're looking for an experienced Process Engineering Project Lead to join our dynamic team and take charge of exciting plant engineering initiatives.
Your Role:
* Oversee and contribute to the design and execution of biotechnological and pharmaceutical plant projects.
* Conduct process engineering calculations and develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
* Define technical specifications for equipment and ensure alignment with project requirements.
* Evaluate and compare supplier proposals based on technical and regulatory criteria.
* Coordinate key stakeholders, including subcontractors, engineering teams, and clients, ensuring seamless project execution.
* Manage or support commissioning activities, acceptance tests, and site supervision.
* Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and fostering knowledge-sharing within the team.
* Travel flexibility or proximity to Visp preferred.
What You Bring:
* A degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Biotech Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in process plant design, implementation, and commissioning within the biotech/pharma industry.
* Proficiency in German and English.
* Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle projects independently.
* Hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Desired Skills and Experience
Technical Skills & Experience:
* Educational Background: Degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Biotech Engineering, or a related field.
* Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in biotech or pharmaceutical plant design, implementation, and commissioning.
Process Engineering Expertise:
* Process design, calculations, and optimizations for biotech/pharma plants.
* Creation and interpretation of PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams) and P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams).
* Equipment specification and integration into plant design.
* Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
Project Management:
* Experience managing or coordinating large-scale plant engineering projects.
* Ability to oversee supplier selection and technical evaluation.
* Strong understanding of tendering processes and contract management.
Site & Commissioning Experience:
* Managing or supporting site supervision, commissioning, and acceptance tests.
* Coordinating subcontractors, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
Software & Tools:
* Proficiency in process simulation, CAD, and engineering design software.
* Experience working with ERP systems is a plus.
Regulatory Knowledge:
* Understanding of GMP, FDA, EMA, and other relevant industry standards.
Soft Skills & Personal Attributes:
* Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and training junior engineers.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented mindset.
