Role Overview
As an Industrial Controller (Responsable du contrôle de gestion), you will play a key role in analyzing and monitoring company performance and improving the quality of financial information. Reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with the Group Controller and the Executive Committee, you will lead strategic and operational initiatives to implement cost accounting and performance indicators from scratch, driving operational efficiency and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement strategic objectives in collaboration with the leadership team.
2. Foster a company culture focused on effective management control.
3. Establish and optimize performance indicators, including hourly rates (absenteeism, etc.).
4. Fully implement a cost accounting system, with support from the Group Controlling Manager.
5. Identify cost discrepancies, analyze variances, and propose corrective actions.
6. Oversee stock and production monitoring, ensuring accurate valuations and managing obsolescence.
7. Analyze and optimize raw material management.
8. Create performance monitoring tools such as dashboards and Balanced Scorecards, proposing corrective measures.
9. Actively participate in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term business planning, supporting managers in budget preparation.
10. Analyze the profitability of investments and projects, including CAPEX management and ROI calculations.
11. Provide ad-hoc analyses as required.
12. Support the development and improvement of the company’s ERP system, ensuring information flows are well-defined and up-to-date.
Position Details
1. Tools: Advanced Excel, ERP (Strategic), and Office Suite.
2. Promotion Possibility: Growth potential depending on profile and performance.
3. Training: Comprehensive onboarding includes meetings with managers and activities in Switzerland and abroad (approximately 15 days).
4. Work Hours: Flexible and variable hours; no punch-in system, 42 hours/week.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Education And Experience
1. Advanced degree in finance, controlling, or a related field.
2. At least 7 years’ experience in industrial controlling within the manufacturing sector, preferably in leather goods or watchmaking subcontracting.
3. Proven success in implementing industrial cost accounting systems.
4. Strong accounting knowledge, with experience in Swiss accounting standards as an advantage.
5. Advanced Excel skills and adaptability to financial tools and ERP systems.
Language Requirements
1. French: Native or bilingual (essential).
2. English: Professional proficiency (frequent use).
3. Portuguese: Professional proficiency (used occasionally during travel to Portugal).
