Digital Service Owner
As the Digital Service Owner, you will be responsible for the successful operation and maintenance of three digital services:
* National Packaging Waste Database (NPWD)
* Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Online
* International Waste Shipments (IWS) Online
The services are at different stages in their digital lifecycle, requiring continuous improvement, new digital requirements from regulatory reform, and decommissioning as they transition to new platforms.
1. Coordinate the daily activities of the Digital Senior Technical Officers across the digital services through matrix management.
2. Liaise with colleagues, contractors, and third-party suppliers involved in support and development of the digital services and regulatory reform projects.
3. Manage contracts for maintenance and development with commercial partners, including performance reviews and payment reconciliation.
4. Identify and prioritize continuous improvement requirements within budget limitations.
5. Ensure bugs and issues are logged and progressed according to agreed priorities.
6. Maintain compliance with security, data protection, and accessibility requirements.
7. Work with business leads to incorporate future regulatory requirements into the strategic roadmap.
You will ideally possess:
* Ability to build relationships and deliver solutions for internal and external customers.
* 3rd Party liaison experience, particularly in tendering processes and working with commercial partners.
* Experience working with Operations Managers to plan and agree work activities under tight deadlines.
* Able to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
* Budget and contract management experience.
* Essential experience in a digital role, preferably as a Service Owner.
* Desirable knowledge or experience in Government Digital Service (GDS) and waste regulation.
* Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
