Summer Student (Test Engineer for Scientific Software)

For the Experiment IT Development and Operations Group we are looking for a Summer Student to join our team (https://www.psi.ch/en/awi) and help improve the reliability of our software. Your work will directly contribute to scientific experiments at PSI's photon facilities (https://www.psi.ch/en/cps/facilities) by ensuring our tools are robust and error-free.
Your tasks
Are you interested in scientific computing and software quality assurance? Do you want hands-on experience writing automated test suites for software used in cutting-edge research?
* Develop automated test suites for scientific software
* Design and implement unit and integration tests
* Work closely with developers to improve code quality and reliability
* Learn best practices in software testing and quality assurance
Your profile
* You are in your last year of Bachelor’s studies or in your Master's studies in computer science, a natural science or engineering
* You have a good working knowledge of English and good Python skills
