Job Summary
We are seeking a Business Development & Sales Manager to enhance our presence in the European Health Science Drug market. The successful candidate will generate sales leads, drive revenue through prospecting, acquiring, developing and expanding business leads to achieve short- and long-term revenue and profit growth.
Responsibilities
* Pursue New Opportunities: Identify and develop new business leads with existing clients in Switzerland and Europe, exploring untapped markets and customer segments.
* Sales Contract Preparation: Prepare and negotiate sales contracts that adhere to established laws, regulations, and guidelines, ensuring seamless transactions.
* Customer Engagement: Promote our products/services by understanding and addressing client objectives, fostering long-term relationships and driving strategic partnerships.
* Strategic Planning: Establish, monitor, and coordinate timely action plans, adjusting strategies as needed to meet targets and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Representative Role: Represent SGS Health Sciences R&D/QC at conventions, exhibitions, and professional associations, showcasing our expertise and building brand awareness.
* Collaboration: Work closely with various sites in Switzerland, other European affiliates, and the Global Health Science Drug development team to develop a comprehensive growth strategy.
* Service Sales: Utilize our business infrastructure and resources to sell Health Science Drug services effectively.
* Market Presence: Enhance our business's presence and market share by managing existing and new clients, identifying opportunities for growth.
* New Product Rollout: Sell and lead the rollout of new products developed by our business, leveraging our strengths and resources.
Qualifications
* Educational Background: A scientific educational background with basic knowledge of chemistry laboratory activities or the pharmaceutical industry is essential.
* Regulatory Knowledge: A good understanding of regulatory QC requirements, including GLP, GMP, FDA, and EMA standards.
* Sales Experience: Approximately 5 years of sales experience in the Life Science Industry, particularly with small and/or large molecules.
* Business Development Expertise: Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive, or relevant role is necessary.
* Customer Support: Experience in customer support is an asset.
