You support sourcing for spend categories-including sourcing execution and stakeholder management-to maximize the total value of ownership for the organization. You also work closely with local business and BU Logistics Procurement teams to ensure best practice sharing and driving value for the organization.
How you will contribute
You will take the lead in creating value through innovation, sustainability, risk management, quality, service, cash and productivity programs all while ensuring compliance with policies, strategies and processes. In addition, you will lead in the development and deployment of sourcing strategies and the ongoing management of supplier relationships, manage the supply base working internal and external stakeholders to ensure Mondelēz International’s competitive advantage, completely build a program with the business and suppliers that incorporates best practices, market insights, risks and opportunities, and set a clear vision for various areas, defining and delivering ambitious plans that encourage teams and stakeholders to engage not just in the destination, but also in the journey.

1. Solid Procurement experience across several markets or on regional level in Europe is essential. Experience in Food/Beverage or FMCG environment is preferred
2. Strategic Sourcing, Risk Management and Total Cost Ownership expertise is a must. Role requires a combination of strategic thinking & executional excellence
3. Advanced Negotiation and solid Dispute/Claim management skills
4. Expert knowledge in Logistics in general and Transportation specifically (procurement or operations) across European Market place
5. Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Engineering is highly desirable
6. Demonstrating a future-focused mindset, showing curiosity about industry trends, digital solutions and innovation, and translating opportunities into business strategies
7. Business and financial acumen and an understanding of how procurement brings financial value to the overall Profit & Loss
8. Excellence communication and influencing skills as well as ability to interact effectively and build trust at all levels of the organization including senior leadership based on a deep understanding of business priorities and subject matter expertise
9. Advanced Analytical skills: Solid experience to perform complex Parametric bidding. Knowledge of advanced e-sourcing systems (CSO, Jagger, etc) is plus
10. Able to manage ambiguity – working within a complex, fluid, organizational environment with limited data visibility and diverse processes
11. Must be able to act autonomously, develop, manage and lead own agenda and take decisions.
12. Comfortable identifying, setting & delivering against stretch targets
13. Ability to manage high level of diverse projects simultaneously
14. Proven track record of leading and developing teams in a multi-cultural environment
15. Modelling trust, integrity, and perseverance
16. Fluent in English. Knowledge of other European languages is a plus

What you need to know about this position:
This role sits as part of the Mondelez Europe Logistics Procurement team and is responsible for the sourcing of x-Border Transportation (all modes) & Pallets across Pan-European geography
17. Scope of spend: $300MM pa across our 5 Business Units, 14 Commercial Units and 33 countries
18. Leadership of Sourcing Strategy for Pan-European x-Border Transportation and Pallets to secure the service at the optimum cost
19. Lead and develop the team of sourcing managers and procurement specialists
20. Lead execution of sourcing of transportation (all modes) and pallet services across European international network from 61 manufacturing plants, into 48 DCs
21. Owns the Supplier Relationship management strategy for Transportation services, ensuring effective SRM deployment across > 100 strategic & transactional carrier relationships
22. Own relationship with Load control center (LCC) and partner with them to further develop, evolve & grow our Business Control Tower strategy.
23. Co-lead & drive along with LogOps and Legal the Human Rights Due Diligence program to improve the working conditions of the European Driver force and ensure Mdlz and its providers are fully compliant with related local legislation
24. Enhance the standard ways of working to ensure effective price management of embedded Transport spend
25. Own, lead & drive delivery of ONE Pallet supply solution for Europe
26. Sets the 3-year strategic plan for exceeding our key deliverables in Productivity, Cash & Simplification in x-Border Transportation and Pallets across Europe
27. Collaborate with Sourcing Manager for Domestic Transportation to ensure best practice sharing, sourcing & effective supplier relationship management.
28. Lead European Transport Market Analytics, including pan-European Transport Rate Benchmarking
29. Responsible for Financial planning for Stat Plan & Annual Contract (AC) financial planning, leading the inflation guidance setting for each financial planning cycle
30. Role model bringing the outside-in, learning & sharing external insights and leveraging this knowledge to raise the bar on MEU performance
31. Take control of Raw & Pack transportation
