As the Global Qualification Manager, you will support the global switchgear organization through R&D, Pre-Sales, Tendering, and Execution stages. Your goal will be to ensure maximum profitability and growth, aligning with the Hitachi Energy Group Charter and Product group Strategy. You will focus on product qualifications based on market requirements and the product portfolio roadmaps.

Your responsibilities
1. Create product qualification strategies based on market requirements and product portfolio considering: Compliance with standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE and national regulations), customer specifications and market homologation requirements.
2. Develop and maintain a mid- and long-term Product Qualification Roadmap for the switchgear portfolio, ensuring type test evidence validity and planning type test repetitions as needed, aligned with product portfolio roadmaps.
3. Establish and review qualification processes for main customers, providing technical declarations and expertise to optimize testing efforts.
4. Serve as interface to external customers and their pre-qualification department.
5. Coordinate qualification activities within the organization to expedite the process, ensuring alignment across different products and global product groups.
6. Review type test specifications to ensure market coverage, test combinations, and report quality.
Your background
1. 10+ years working experience with High Voltage Switchgear technology.
2. Master in engineering (electrical or mechanical) or technical field.
3. Experience in analyzing and interpreting customer specifications with regard to product qualification requirements.
4. Knowledge and understanding of IEC and other relevant standards. Experience in participation in IEC or Cigré activities is an asset.
5. Excellent communication abilities and intercultural sensitiveness; proficient in English.
