Sourcing Marketing Expert Role
We are looking for an experienced Sourcing Marketing expert to join our team in Zurich.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing sourcing, with experience working with key global suppliers across the marketing category.
The role requires a dynamic and client-focused individual who can deliver value-add sourcing services to clients in a structured, professional, and consistent manner.
Main Responsibilities
1. Coordinate and manage sourcing initiatives in the marketing services area, including commercial, operational, and legal aspects, in close collaboration with clients and relevant experts in a cross-functional team.
2. Manage a challenging and broad role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment for multiple client accounts.
3. Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure.
4. Define and execute negotiation strategies to secure value-adding deals for clients.
5. Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders internally and externally, including clients and vendors.
6. Control and execute tenders (RfX) in close cooperation with internal and external partners.
7. Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
8. Estimate risks and apply risk-minimizing techniques.
9. Collaborate on global procurement strategies and implement regional requirements.
Requirements
1. University degree in marketing or business administration.
2. Ideal additional education in the field of procurement, with MCIPS preferred.
3. 5-10 years of marketing sourcing experience with strong knowledge in sub-categories such as media and martech, brand, creative and content, communication and research, live marketing and sponsoring, and marketing material.
4. Service-oriented mindset and willingness to contribute actively in a dynamic environment.
5. Secure command of e-sourcing tools, such as SAP Ariba and Jaggaer.
6. Ability to lead negotiations on behalf of clients.
7. Good analytical and conceptual skills, with quick understanding of complex content, figures, and interfaces.
8. Understanding of technologies, processes, tools, contractual, and legal aspects of marketing.
9. Proactive, pragmatic, target-oriented, and assertive personality with strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
10. High level of passion and commitment to the sourcing function.
11. Team player with high social competence and a winning personality.
12. Business fluency in German and English; French would be an advantage.
