Poly Category Manager Role
We are seeking a seasoned Category Manager to lead the Poly portfolio in Switzerland and Austria, driving 4P planning & execution, business management, and product lifecycle to achieve business results.
This key role will collaborate across sales, marketing, product, supply chain & finance organizations to enable effective execution & growth of Poly business across the portfolio.
The successful candidate will be responsible for product line management and contributing to defining business plans and growth strategies, including promotional planning, pricing strategy, RTM growth plans, and product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement category business plans and strategies to drive growth and profitability.
2. Collaborate with internal teams from marketing, sales, and finance to ensure seamless execution of category plans.
3. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales performance to identify areas for improvement.
4. Drive quarterly game plan & execution to achieve business goals.
5. Manage product lifecycle for the Poly portfolio in country, including NPI & EOL management.
6. Demonstrate a broad understanding of product categories, business management, and sales challenges/strategies.
7. Gather and analyze customer feedback and data to understand customer needs, preferences, pain points, and translate insights into actionable improvements.
8. Build relationships and represent the team at a senior level with the sales force and other partners.
9. Hold responsibility for product line and quota management for a significant share of the product range or a specific customer segment.
10. Oversee functional responsibilities in areas such as market analysis, marketing engagement, etc.
Requirements:
1. Four-year or graduate degree in sales, marketing, business administration, or any related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
2. Typically 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in category management, P&L management, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.

1. IT industry knowledge of collaboration technologies, strategy, and channel partner ecosystem.
2. Business planning skills, multidimensional.
3. Financial planning and modelling skills, comfortable managing high complexity business planning and reporting.
4. Strong communication skills at senior management internally and externally.
5. Knowledge of promotional marketing processes and practices.
6. Negotiation skills and ability to frame the product value proposition to customers/partners.
7. Fluent in German and English; knowledge of French is advantageous.
