Project: We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join a newly established Data & Analytics team. This role reports directly to the Head of Risk Data & Analytics.
Tasks:
Define and maintain business and data domain models to enhance value generation.
Collaborate with business units to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Design and implement scalable data models and structures ensuring data quality and integrity.
Develop and enforce a data architecture strategy aligned with business goals and group standards.
Reduce data redundancy and improve data flow efficiency across systems.
Establish and maintain data standards, guidelines, and best practices for quality, security, and interoperability.
Transition legacy systems to target-state architectures and evaluate emerging technologies.
Partner with IT and cross-functional teams to align data solutions with business and technical priorities.
Facilitate organizational adoption of data architecture principles through training and change management.
Define and monitor performance metrics, ensuring scalability and compliance with governance frameworks.
Requirements:
A minimum of 10 years‘ experience in data management or architecture, including at least 5 years in a senior-level position.
Expertise in designing scalable data solutions, data modelling, and governance frameworks.
Proven experience in energy commodity trading or financial services is essential.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to drive consensus and bridge business and technical teams.
Proficiency in relational and non-relational databases (SQL, NoSQL), analytics tools, and modern data technologies.
Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in German is an advantage.
