Our team brings a broad range of experience across drug substance (DS), drug product (DP), analytical sciences and manufacturing science & technology. Our team is responsible for late stage technical development of our synthetic molecules pipeline, manufacture of DS and DP for clinical studies, and transfer of the processes to commercial Manufacturing.
In Process Chemistry & Catalysis, we design and develop robust and cost-effective Drug Substance processes using state-of-the-art science and methodologies. As part of our efforts, we routinely deploy our automated high-throughput experimentation platform for numerous pipeline projects. In this internship project, we aim to develop broadly applicable machine learning solutions for reaction optimization tailored to our robotic equipment.
Develop digital solutions leveraging high quality proprietary data
This internship position is located in Basel, Switzerland, on site.
You are enrolled in Bachelor’s/Master’s studies at a university, preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Computer Science, or a related field and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship of at least 3 months and getting to know the pharmaceutical industry.
Proficient in Python
Familiarity with Linux environments and software development tools (GitHub, IDEs, etc.)
Experience with data science and machine learning frameworks (numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, etc.)
Good understanding of organic chemistry and catalysis
The start date for the internship is between 1st and 16th of July 2025
