As part of this vision, we are seeking a CAD/CAE System Administrator to join our CAD/CAE Improvement Section. This role offers the opportunity to work in an international, detail-oriented, and passionate environment, contributing to the success of our projects.
Main duties and Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate project needs for technical software in compliance with contract requirements.
2. Draw up the application architecture for the project, preparing the 3D Model Procedure and the related detail procedures.
3. Dimension, configure, administer, and maintain the efficiency of the project database, providing end-user support for various software (including 3D).
4. Define the materials coding system and transposing rules among different software.
5. Maintain and update technical engineering catalogs in the material management system database.
6. Administer and develop supports 3D modelling/material list tool. Collaborate with the Digital Department to develop software related to the Plant Engineering Department.
7. Provide technical support to Engineering Teams.
8. Integration of the Engineering software.
9. Develop specification materials and manage take-off on the 3D system.
10. Manage the 3D Catalogue and specifications for all Engineering disciplines.
11. Extract and prepare design review files.
12. Extract and prepare clash detection.
Education:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
Languages:
1. Fluent Italian
2. Fluent English
3. Knowledge of any other language is an asset.
Software Knowledge:
Good practical experience in using the following software:
1. AVEVA and HEXAGON
2. CADMATIC
3. COMOS (SIEMENS)
4. MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Power Platform)
Skills:
1. Extensive expertise in AVEVA and HEXAGON tools.
2. General knowledge of all engineering disciplines (Piping, I&E, Civil, Machinery, and Mechanical).
3. Proficient in preparing 3D catalogue components and specifications.
4. Proficient in drawing up the application architecture for the project, preparing the 3D Model Procedure and the related detail procedures.
5. Proficient in maintaining and updating all the engineering software.
6. General knowledge of materials used in industrial plants.
7. Ability to coordinate the external companies involved in the projects.
8. Excellent interpersonal communication and analytical skills, enabling effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
9. Ability to prioritize workloads and problem-solving.
10. Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all tasks.
11. Thrives in high-pressure, fast-paced environments, demonstrating adaptability and resilience in dynamic settings.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:
1. EPC companies operating in the chemical, petrochemical, or oil & gas sectors.
2. A Project Control role within the last 2 to 5 years.
3. Site-based assignments, demonstrating hands-on project execution.
