For one of our clients, a humanitarian organization based here in Geneva, we are looking for a: Lead Buyer Tech H/F For a temporary position starting Buyer Tech H/F DESCRIPTION OF THE MISSION The responsibilities will cover technical areas such as Hybrid Cloud, DevOps, Network, Security, Core Infrastructure, Monitoring, Identity Access Management, and End-User Management Define global support for the departments and divisions with internal definition of sourcing and suppliers to meet internal customer needs and to obtain maximum value from suppliers. Identify and/or lead projects aimed at continuous improvement of the overall management of the action plan to ensure proper delivery during Procurement townhall and stakeholder leadership regular business reviews with stakeholders to review action plan progress and with local Procurement teams to address unmet needs and drive the execution of global purchasing files above a defined financial threshold and ensure purchasing policies and procedures are respected. Sourcing and Supplier Management Engage proactively with stakeholders to assess needs and manage the annual budget review with stakeholders to identify and plan sourcing, and drive effective networking with suppliers, internal customers, and site requesters, ensuring that technical and functional business requirements are properly defined (among others, liaising with End User Computing to standardize IT, workplace, or Telecom equipment). Prospect, visit, define, and evaluate potential suppliers according to the supplier's structure and process requests for proposals and tenders for its stakeholders' engagement in the selection and management of risks through proper contracting processes and involvement of key stakeholders (protection office, legal advisors). Ensure proper management of signed contracts and guarantee a smooth handover to regional/local procurement when necessary, ensuring local, regional, and global synergies and that site buyers and clients receive optimal procurement support for sourcing projects on time. Deliver sourcing suppliers as per agreements and engage with suppliers, Procurement Officer, and Planning to reach OTIF (On Time In Full) targets. Monitor and report supplier performance during regular business development meetings and create fact-based briefs for supplier meetings. Implement EDI with relevant suppliers. Guarantee the auditability of procurement files by applying the standard procedures and ensuring all procurement documentation is available in the compliance system according to procurement policy and processes for stakeholders. Analysis and Reporting Lead data collection for global demand, supply, market trends, cost drivers, best practices, and assess opportunities. Perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis as part of the annual budgeting exercise and provide visibility of sourcing pipeline on a regular basis in the procurement system. Contribute to cost reduction objectives. Track and record cost avoidance/savings in the system. Contribute to Procurement key performance indicators. Provide monthly input to unit. 12 to 15 years of professional experience, with 5 to 10 years working experience in Indirect procurement, in a similar environment as manager or lead buyer of Indirect procurement. Experience in contracts management, stakeholder management, and supplier management. Ability to monitor complex activities within a global framework with different experts and to analyze the relevance of purchase requests. Previous humanitarian field experience is a plus.
