For our Development department, which industrializes active medical devices, we are seeking a Process Engineer.
A Day in the Life of a Process Engineer
As a Process Engineer, your responsibilities may include:
1. Supporting innovation and development of new manufacturing concepts, processes, and procedures for transfer to manufacturing operations.
2. Developing manufacturing processes that adhere to statistical process control principles and measuring systems.
3. Collaborating with product design and development personnel to ensure compatibility between processes and designs.
4. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
5. Recommending equipment and process modifications to meet quality standards and improve production efficiency.
6. Reviewing product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules.
7. Providing technical support in a manufacturing environment.
8. Integrating equipment and material capabilities to meet target specifications and technology targets.
9. Participating in scouting, feasibility assessments, material selection, process and equipment selection, tooling and fixture installation, and assessment of inputs, outputs, and alignment to requirements.
Requirements for Success
To excel as a Process Engineer, you will need:
1. An engineering master's degree and 6 months of experience or equivalent.
2. Proficiency in English and French.
3. Project management skills are a plus.
4. Knowledge of medical device assembly, microfluidics, and surface treatment is beneficial.
5. The ability to work independently with general supervision on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments.
6. Rigorous, proactive, flexible, results-oriented, and motivated by achievement.
7. Strong communication skills to operate in a multicultural environment and interact with cross-functional teams across different levels within the organization.
8. A self-sufficient individual who contributes to others' success beyond their own expertise and organization.
9. Decision-making abilities.
