What You’ll Do
Design & Manage Data Architecture: Plan, design, and oversee the data architecture for our space programs, ensuring robust and efficient data systems.
Develop Data Models: Create models and structures for storing and accessing large volumes of data, optimizing for performance and scalability.
Integrate Data Sources: Seamlessly integrate data from various sources, including satellites and ground stations, and implement effective interfaces.
Lifecycle Management: Maintain data integrity and accessibility throughout its entire lifecycle, from acquisition to archival.
Ensure Data Quality & Compliance: Uphold high standards of data quality and ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
Implement Data Processing Systems: Develop and deploy systems for processing and analyzing data to support mission-critical operations.
Scalability & Performance: Design data infrastructure to scale with growing data volumes and evolving project needs, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Security & Access Control: Define and enforce access policies to protect data from unauthorized use and breaches.
Collaborate with Architects: Work closely with other architects and stakeholders to ensure the data architecture aligns with overall system requirements and project goals.
What You Bring
Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
Professional Experience: Several years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or data management, preferably within the space industry.
Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with DevOps and SecOps practices, and familiarity with space-related data systems.
Proactive Mindset: Strong self-management skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to take initiative in solving complex problems.
Analytical Thinking: Solution-oriented with a keen eye for intricate structures and processes, capable of connected and strategic thinking.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage and engage stakeholders effectively.
Legal Requirements: Possession of an EU and/or Swiss work permit with no entries in public registers, as required by security screenings.
Language Proficiency: Business fluent in English (both written and spoken). Proficiency in German is advantageous.
