Senior Account Manager Beauty & Care, Perfumery & Beauty

Location: Cologne Area Germany / Kaiseraugst, Switzerland
Job summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Account Manager to join our dynamic Beauty & Care team focusing on the markets of Germany, Poland, and the EEC. You will be responsible for developing and managing key client relationships, driving business growth, overseeing distributor management, and ensuring customer satisfaction across our extensive product portfolio which includes skin bio-actives, skin vitamins, UV filters, and functional ingredients for skin care, hair care, and sun care market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and account management within the Beauty & Care industry and possess a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement Beauty & Care global & Regional go to market strategies to achieve profitable revenue growth and market share objectives across allocated markets.
2. Identify new business opportunities and drive penetration in Germany, Poland, and EEC.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
4. Manage and support Distributors to optimize sales performance in line with objectives.
5. Act as the primary point of contact for clients and distributors, addressing their needs and ensuring ongoing satisfaction.
6. Identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape within the Beauty & Care industry in the relevant markets.
7. Use insights to inform product development and marketing strategies for our portfolio.
8. Collaborate with product development, marketing, supply chain, and other internal teams to ensure alignment and execution of business plans.
9. Participate in the development of promotional materials and marketing campaigns.
10. Track and analyze sales performance metrics, preparing reports to assess account health and identify areas for improvement.
11. Initiate corrective actions as needed to ensure targets are met.
12. Lead negotiations for contracts and pricing agreements, ensuring profitability while maintaining client and distributor satisfaction.
13. Manage the contract lifecycle from initiation to execution.
14. Provide product training and support to clients and distributors, ensuring they are equipped to communicate the value of our Beauty & Care offerings.
15. Address any customer and distributor inquiries or issues in a timely manner.
Travel: 60%
You bring:
* Bachelor's degree in Business (MBA a plus) and/or Chemistry / Biology.
* Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in account management in Beauty & Care.
* Proven track record of successful sales performance and exceeding targets.
* Strong understanding of trends, competitors, and customer needs in Germany, Poland & EEC.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in both German and English.
* Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
* Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Fluency in German and English is required; proficiency in additional EEC languages is a plus.
