Direct message the job poster from Senbiosys
Health monitoring is a fast growing market. The trend is to gather and analyze the vitals to motivate people improving their health and to detect early medical risks. The challenge is to integrate an increasing number of sensors that measure vitals more accurately and to have a system that performs continuous tracking.
Senbiosys has developed a new generation of sensors with a high quality of signal and a significant reduction in power consumption, recently achieving a new world record. Our technology allows continuous vitals measurement such as heart rate and blood oxygen saturation with a higher precision. Our goal is to go beyond the state of the art of the vitals detection and to become a leader that improves the future of health monitoring.
We are looking for a talented Biomedical Signal Data Scientist, who will explore and develop the different signal processing schemes for our technology. We need someone that can implement new solutions to open new trends for data science and leverage the link between our unique technology and a better detection of health parameters.
Your mission
1. Develop a medical database on a large enough population to correlate the PPG signal out of our sensor with medical parameters such as heart rate variability, oxygen saturation and blood pressure
2. Interface with leading academic partners or specialized medical institutions for joint projects
3. Actively contribute to define the right medical devices to measure the reference health parameters and benchmark our sensor through solid statistical approaches and protocols
4. Develop and optimize algorithms to correlate the PPG signal with the reference health parameters
5. Develop AI schemes to refine and enhance the correlation between the PPG signal properties and the reference health parameters
6. Interface with the embedded software engineering team
What you can expect
1. An adventure with great talents that want to change the future of health monitoring
2. An environment in which you can grow and share new ideas
3. A flexible working model
4. As a member of a very motivated, multicultural team, you can expect new challenges every day
5. Mentoring and targeted developments in new topics
Your profile
1. MSc or PhD in biomedical engineering, computer science, electrical engineering or related fields.
2. Proven understanding of biomedical signal processing (in the time domain, eventually for PPG signals is a plus).
3. Proven proficiency in Python
4. Understanding of artificial intelligence schemes
5. Good programming skills, C programming would be a plus
6. Good English proficiency
7. European citizenship or work permit in Switzerland
Additional preferred qualifications
1. Familiar with processing of other biomedical signals like ECG, ICG or BCG
2. Experience with projects held with medical partners
3. Open-minded
4. Good sense of humor
