Job Description
As a member of the Safety Office at CERN, you will be responsible for performing safety risk assessments, including workplace risk assessments. You will also conduct safety visits in facilities under the responsibility of the Department, provide advice and support to groups within the Department on matters of safety, carry out safety awareness campaigns, and analyze accidents to propose corrective and preventive measures.
You will write safety reports and ensure the follow-up of defined actions. Your role is crucial in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
Your responsibilities include:

* Conducting safety visits in facilities under the responsibility of the Department
* Providing advice and support to groups within the Department on matters of safety
* Carrying out safety awareness campaigns
* Analyzing accidents to propose corrective and preventive measures
Your Profile
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong academic background in occupational health and safety. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of hazard identification and risk assessment techniques, as well as the tools applicable to these processes.
In addition to technical skills, we value behavioral competencies such as working in teams, communicating effectively with multiple stakeholders, producing workable and timely solutions, identifying and assessing problems, and taking action to address them. Fluency in both English and French is required.
The selected candidate will have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Safety engineering or a related field, and their highest educational qualification should be either a Bachelor's or Master's degree. We welcome applications from nationals of any country.
