In view of these developments, PAA is looking to grow its multi-manager hedge funds team and is looking for highly motivated and talented individuals to join.PAA’s Multi Manager Hedge Funds franchise is composed of 11 senior professionals split across fund analysis and client solutions. The franchise counts USD 6.1bn AUMs and covers the following strategies: CTA, Event Driven, Long Short equities, Global Macro, Relative Value and UCITs, across all geographies, including Asia. Within the multi-manager Hedge Funds team also sits a recently developed private debt offering, which started in 2020 as pure opportunistic credit dislocation led investments and currently span from performing growth direct lending to specialty finance, to special situations and stressed and distressed.Your roleHave an active involvement in research, due diligence and monitoring of fund investments, as well as other aspects such as marketing, operations, monitoring of existing investments;Conduct screening and research about various Hedge Funds strategies and, over time, develop your own sourcing network;Conduct screening and research on public and private debt strategies including but not limited to private debt direct lending, distressed and special situations, specialty finance and multi-strategy opportunistic players.Support portfolio management, investment monitoring and client reporting;Help to develop investment due diligence reports, monitoring reports and other memorandums in conjunction with and for the senior members of the team and for clients;Contribute to the decision-making process as part of a small and flat team;Build peer group reports and expand the list of monitored underlying potential candidates across strategies;Help maintain systems up to date with new relevant information;Have an active involvement in ESG scoring of underlying managers.Your profileUniversity degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or equivalent from a top-tier university, ideally completed with the CFA or another quantitative certification.Two to three years of previous experience acquired within an Asset Manager in a field where strong quantitative and numerical skills are required. Prior exposure to hedge funds will be an asset but is not a must for this opportunity.Very strong analytical and logical thinking skills while owning outstanding interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;Genuine interest in the financial markets;Entrepreneurially minded and creative with an ability to work both independently and with a team;Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
