This role focuses on overseeing the global supply chain and logistics of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished goods across various manufacturing locations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and cash flow, collaborating with procurement and production teams.
* Manage co-manufacturers and third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships to ensure secure and cost-effective supply chains.
* Oversee warehouse operations, implementing best practices for layout, organization, and safety to maximize efficiency.
* Build and maintain relationships with 3PL providers to optimize transportation routes and costs.
* Develop transportation strategies for timely product delivery while minimizing costs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
* Collaborate with demand and supply planning teams to balance supply and demand, manage risk, and ensure high-quality standards are met.
* Define import/export processes for efficient and cost-effective product supply.
* Work closely with quality and plant managers to minimize waste and obsolescence, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
* Engineering degree; an MBA or International Commerce background is highly advantageous.
* Minimum 15 years of experience in logistics, with at least 10 years in similar roles.
* Experience in logistics consulting, preferably with a focus on strategy development and process improvement.
* Proficiency in English; proficiency in French and Spanish is a plus.
* Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a proven track record in logistics, transportation, and inventory management.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) systems.
