Maintaining Foreign Trade Information: A Key Role at SKAN
We are seeking a talented individual to fill the position of process owner and expert in free trade agreements and rules of origin on a global level. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining foreign trade-related information across our business units in Switzerland and various SKAN plants.
Key Responsibilities
* Export Licence Management: Obtaining and monitoring export licences from SECO, ensuring compliance with regulations.
* Export Control Advisory Services: Providing guidance and support to business divisions and subsidiaries on export control and foreign trade law issues.
* Rules of Origin Calculations: Determining preferences according to the rules of origin of various free trade agreements.
* Foreign Trade Clarifications: Conducting clarifications related to supply structures and international transactions.
* Trade Compliance Support: Assisting team members in tariff classification, origin, preference management, master data maintenance, and other topics.
* Employee Training: Delivering regular employee training on export controls.
* Sanctions List Checks: Conducting sanctions list and embargo checks, classifying goods under export control law.
* ESG and CBAM Compliance: Supporting ESG (environmental, social, governance) and CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) requirements in the supply chain and their integration into foreign trade.
* Process Optimisation: Creating reports, evaluating, and analysing KPIs to optimise processes in export control and foreign trade.
Requirements
* Commercial Training: Completed commercial training with further training as a foreign trade specialist.
* Professional Experience: Several years of professional experience and sound expertise in export control and foreign trade.
* Industrial Environment: Ideally experience in an industrial environment.
* Languages: Strong communication skills and confident manner in German and English.
* Software Proficiency: Confident handling of MS Office, especially Excel, and knowledge of SAP an advantage.
