Controller Contract Manufacturing Organization
for its global Pharma Division Headquarter based in Allschwil- Basel.
Primary Job Function:
The Controller CMO in our Established Pharmaceutical Operations area is responsible for P&L Management of one of the top 5 EPD business sales. The incumbent will lead the CMO strategy along with business counterpart and ensure margin expansion, strategic expansion of new opportunities, business cases.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Routine activities:
Lead EPD CMO with Actuals, Plans, LBEs cycles
Liaison with Global supply chain, CMO director & internal sites on demand planning and supply availability
Ensure delivery of financial objective related to Sales, margin & cash flow
Monthly manufacturing variance analytics and support decision making.
Responsible for accurate sales & margin forecasting, quarterly confirmation, and management reporting
Follow Up on any overdue AR balances and involvement in credit management.
Commercial assessment and review of all new agreements from CMO, input into contracts with legal (finance areas) incl. exchange considerations, inflation, flows, tax etc.
Financial support on reviewing all new CMO opportunities in conjunction with sites.
Lead annual pricing discussions with customers for CMO
Support as a senior member of the EPD Finance team on continuous improvement projects both for internal finance processes and in the wider CMO group
Drive Global EPD Cash flow improvements via DSO (CMO) improvements.
Partner with the wider EPD Finance group to continuously develop and report on key performance.
Collaborate and provide financial expertise to the CMO Director
Participate and support reporting system implementation and improvements projects.
Performing various ad hoc analytics as required
Project Activity:
Input into contracts with legal (finance areas) incl exchange considerations, inflation, financial flows, tax
Financial review of all new CMO opportunities in conjunction with sites and CMO team to determine if merited (build business case supported by financials)
Ad Hoc customer issues/queries
Other:
Ensure compliance with local and Corporate Procurement policies and procedures and provide support to Audits
Other CMO-related activities and projects that may arise
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or similar qualification, Masters degree preferred
Minimum Experience/Training Required:
Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) an advantage
Minimum 8+ years’ experience in Finance
Project management experience
SAP and Excel literate
Experience working within a multinational environment preferable
Experience in financial modelling and cost-benefit analysis would be an advantage
Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork skills
