This role is a temporary support position, reporting to the Manager, Solothurn Finance. The primary objective is to provide coverage during an extended medical leave at an operational biological manufacturing plant in Switzerland.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support budgeting and forecasting activities by monitoring monthly business performance against budgets and forecasts. Identify drivers of variances and risk factors to meeting targets, and communicate effectively.
2. Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring accurate accounting and classifications of costs.
3. Collaborate with the capital planning system, including month-end accruals and capital forecasts. Work closely with the site Engineering department to execute and monitor capital forecasts.
4. Effectively manage financial vendors, working closely with key suppliers to monitor spending and ensure compliance requirements are met.
Budgeting and Financial Management
The ideal candidate will have experience in budgeting and financial management, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and controls. On-site presence at the plant is required for a minimum of 3 days per week, potentially more during busy periods.
