Digital Strategy and Communications Manager
About Us: The Global Center for Health Diplomacy and Inclusion (CeHDI) is a new Swiss registered Foundation committed to building robust strategic partnerships among like-minded countries to promote and actively drive sustainable and collaborative change for Global Health Equity and the Right to Health. It also amplifies and facilitates the inclusion of the priorities and voices of the Global South within the Global Health Architecture and negotiations based in Geneva. Born from the urgent need to rectify the global health inequities exposed during the COVID-19 pandemic, and other health crises, CeHDI aims to foster dialogue for global health equity, the right to health and to protect our gains in global health.
Your Role: As the Digital and Communications Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive, long-term strategic communication strategy for CeHDI and its implementing arm, HeDPAC. This role requires a robust understanding of global health issues, strong communication and coordination skills, and the ability to proactively engage with the media. The Digital Strategy and Communications Manager will work collaboratively with all teams and critical partners to develop and communicate a compelling agenda that impacts global health equity, the right to health and advance south to south partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning and Project Management
o Develop and implement a holistic communications strategy that aligns with the foundation’s goals.
o Plan, schedule, and manage content projects, ensuring timelines and objectives are met efficiently.
o Set and monitor KPIs to measure success across the web, social media, and other platforms.
2. Web Content Development and Management
o Oversee the maintenance and continued development of the websites.
o Research, write, edit, and curate engaging digital and multimedia content to connect with the target audience.
o Apply SEO and UX best practices to optimize organic traffic and enhance brand visibility.
3. Social Media and Digital Communication
o Develop and execute social media strategies to increase engagement and reach, leveraging innovative storytelling formats like data visualizations.
o Write and share social media posts.
o Launch multi-channel marketing campaigns within budget constraints.
o Conduct social media analytics assessments to inform future strategies.
4. Content Creation and Brand Refinement
o Refine the foundation’s messaging, mission, and values to strengthen brand identity.
o Produce high-quality newsletters and mailings to communicate effectively with stakeholders and the target audience.
5. Media Outreach and Research
o Write and prepare press releases and other PR materials as needed, reaching out to relevant journalists and influencers.
o Conduct regular online research, monitor major events, scientific outcomes, and other sources of information on health governance country-to-country collaboration, and amplify through social media platforms.
o Create, facilitate and support mainstream media engagement for the CEO and monitor impact and improvements.
6. Outsourcing Coordination
o Coordinate with external service providers (web developers, graphic designers, IT, video producers) to ensure deliverables meet project goals and quality standards.
o Optimize workflows to enhance collaboration and communication between external service providers and in-house team members, ensuring seamless project execution and alignment with strategic objectives.
Required Qualifications: We are looking for a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude with five or more years of experience. The ideal candidate will have the following experience and educational background.
Experience and Skills:
* Demonstrated experience in managing social media accounts and websites for organizations or brands, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
* Strong understanding and familiarity with social media platforms, website management, SEO, analytics, and digital tools.
* Proficiency in data visualization software, design tools (e.g., Tableau, Adobe Illustrator), and website management platforms (e.g., Vercel).
* Excellent command of English, with strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex data into engaging content. Proficiency in French is an asset.
* Excellent copywriting skills, with a proven ability to create compelling and persuasive content tailored to different audiences.
* Experience in growing LinkedIn pages, with knowledge of strategies to increase followers and engagement on the platform.
* Ability to create compelling, audience-specific content that drives engagement.
* Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
* Public health experience is an asset.
Education:
* Masters level university degree in communication, marketing or relevant field.
