Job Description
The Network Engineer will be based in Geneva and will report to the Network manager and will have responsibility for:
1. Main task is to ensure the day-to-day network operation and monitoring, find and technically solve problems related to network with a business-oriented approach
2. Work with other IT teams on a global scale to implement new systems and address security concerns
3. Maintain network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, troubleshooting network problems, and escalating problems to vendor, office, datacenter and remote location
4. Upgrade network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases
5. Design and implement both wire and wireless networks of an organization, including LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet exposure and Sdwan solution
6. Cisco ISE authentification (802.1x, Radius & Tacacs)
7. Enhance network security, as well as documenting network processes and cabling layouts
8. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and security compliance standards relevant to network infrastructure
9. Ensure that proxy solution is up and running and be able to manage deployment
10. Nice to have telephony knowledge for SBC and Teams environment
11. Will be required to work beyond normal business hours and be on call
12. Integrate and be part of a Follow the Sun team
Qualifications
13. Very strong technical skills on Cisco Equipment – CCNP certification preferred
14. Implement and maintain Palo Alto Firewalls for network security and access control.
15. Utilize SolarWinds NPM (Network Performance Monitor) and NCM (Network Configuration Manager) for network monitoring and configuration management. And ThousandEyes solution.
16. Solid understanding of Cisco routing and switching products and networking (Eigrp, Ospf, BGP / DmVPN/ Catalyst & Nexus)
17. SDwan, Internet & low latency circuit experience is required
18. Wi-fi deployment and operation on Aruba & Cisco Meraki
19. Cloud experiences on Azure, AWS, GCP is required
20. Audiocode SBC + IP phones
21. Proxy solution such as McAfee, Zscaler, Palo Alto
22. WAF on F5 Silverline
23. Automation, python script, ansible is required
24. Experience with Trading Market Data is an advantage
25. Education: Minimum Bachelor of Science in Networking
26. Experience: 8-10 years as Network engineer in a multi-cultural environment
