As an integral member of the operational HR team, you will proactively support the delivery of professional and timely generalist advice and guidance to managers and employees across the business.
Main Responsibilities: Employee Relations Support: Provide guidance on disciplinary, grievance, harassment, and discrimination casework.
Recruitment & Selection: Coordinate internal and external recruitment processes, working with agencies and internal teams to support interviews, inductions, and probation periods.
Service Delivery: Build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of management to provide data-driven HR insights and ensure compliance with company policies and employment law.
Absence Management: Assist in managing short- and long-term absence cases, liaising with external Occupational Health providers and conducting home visits where necessary.
Performance Management: Support managers in improving employee performance through SMART objectives and the Performance Development Review (PDR) process.
Learning & Talent Development: Help facilitate training programs, upskill managers, and identify development opportunities for employees. Support apprenticeship programs, including coordinating reviews and work rotations.
HR Projects: Contribute to specific HR projects aimed at continuous improvement.
Continuous Professional Development (CPD): Stay updated with industry developments and best practices within HR.
Person Specification Essential Experience Candidates should have experience working in a fast-paced HR environment, with a broad generalist background covering multiple HR disciplines.
Skills & Abilities Strong communication skills are essential, along with the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders effectively. The ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks efficiently is crucial. Candidates should also possess sound decision-making and analytical skills, as well as strong listening and interpersonal abilities.
Attributes & Behaviours The ideal candidate will be proactive, with a strong desire to add value to the business. Resilience and adaptability in a changing environment are important, along with a professional and positive approach to work. Building and maintaining strong relationships is also a key requirement.
Other Requirements Candidates should be proficient in IT systems and be willing to travel to different sites, including overnight stays. A full UK Driving License is required.
Working Hours & Salary This role is offered on a hybrid basis of 4 days on-site and 1 day working from home. The position is 40 hours per week and offers a salary of up to £45,000, depending on experience.
