The mammalian development services team in Visp, Switzerland, is growing, and we are currently looking for a Scientist in our purification development group.
What you’ll get:
In this role, you will work hands-on in our state-of-the-art laboratories together with a high-performing, international, cross-functional team with the goal of developing and transferring scalable processes for the manufacture of novel biotherapeutics.
What you’ll do:
1. Responsible for the planning, execution, and documentation of project-specific downstream process development activities.
2. Collect, summarize, and analyze data to prepare development reports and presentations, as appropriate.
3. Support lab work through hands-on activities.
4. Contribute to scientific fields or techniques by solving scientific problems within the department.
5. Manage a lab and/or electronic platform as required.
6. Train technicians and colleagues in his/her area.
7. Evaluate and implement trends and innovations in the area of expertise to deliver better-performing solutions.
What we’re looking for:
1. Bachelor/Master Degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related disciplines.
2. MS (>1 year industry experience); BS (>2 years of industry experience).
3. Good biotechnology expertise and/or knowledge in downstream process development; strong leadership and communication skills; effective interaction with various interfaces within the organization; strong team orientation.
4. Structured, focused, and well-organized working attitude; open-minded for new ideas; high motivation and dynamic drive; solution-oriented; willingness to support hands-on lab activities.
5. Excellent English and basic German are required.
