As a Junior DevOps Engineer in the Infrastructure, DevOps and Security team, you will improve, maintain and operate our algorithmic trading system in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), consisting of execution clusters, network architecture, identity and access management, application security, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, tracing and more.
Your role We are looking for a highly motivated DevOps engineer interested in maintaining scalable enterprise-grade applications in a GCP / Kubernetes environment. You will work with strategic partners such as quantitative traders, developers, and data scientists. Together with your team, you will design and implement system architecture, apply DevOps best practices, perform infrastructure migration, capacity planning, resource scaling, cost optimization, monitoring, and troubleshooting, and, most importantly, ensure continuous availability and reliability.
Key Responsibilities Perform in-depth analysis of the design and implementation of our system.
Maintain and enhance the existing infrastructure.
Conduct reviews and support vulnerability and incident response.
Implement and track the progress of infrastructure changes from concept to production.
Perform workload and complexity assessments.
Work with engineers to define and keep our concepts and DevOps best-practices.
Experience Kubernetes administrator level knowledge, ideally with network setup, containerization, cluster setup, security and high availability configurations.
DevOps experience in a cloud environment (GCP preferred) with CI/CD.
Database knowledge and hands-on skills in deployment and maintenance (Postgres, MongoDB, Cassandra).
Unix, Linux, shell scripting and automation experience.
Proficient written and verbal communication in English.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude to own and solve issues.
Sense for quality, reliability and innate curiosity to learn new things.
Preferred Working experience with operating production infrastructure.
Messaging, streaming, logging and middleware administration knowledge (Kafka, NATS, Prometheus and Grafana).
Development know-how to support software engineers (Go, Python, REST APIs).
