About the team you are joining
Reporting to the Head Data Operations and Engineering, the Senior MLOps Engineer will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of the MLOps strategy at the corporate level, designing, implementing, and maintaining machine learning pipelines, ensuring the scalability and reliability of our ML models, and collaborating with data scientists and software engineers to optimize performance and resource utilization.
What your day would be like
1. Design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient ML pipelines, leveraging AWS SageMaker, Google Cloud Vertex AI, and beyond.
2. Collaborate with data scientists to deploy and monitor ML models in a containerized environment, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
3. Mentor and coach data scientists when it comes to implementing MLOps and general software development best practices.
4. Assist data science teams on their MLOps journey, making sure they have the right skills and tools to get to the next level.
5. Advance IATA’s MLOps roadmap through hands-on work but also through vision and advocacy at all levels of the organization and beyond.
6. Assist the implementation of IATA’s core GenAI platform with insights into prompt engineering, response accuracy, and operational considerations.
7. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for ML workflows, including automated testing, versioning, and deployment of ML models.
8. Monitor and optimize the performance and cost of running ML models, identifying opportunities for improvement and savings, and implementing best practices.
9. Ensure data privacy, compliance, and security throughout the ML lifecycle.
10. Collaborate with software engineers to integrate ML models into applications and services.
11. Stay current with the latest trends and developments in MLOps, ML, AWS, Google Cloud, and other platforms, sharing knowledge and contributing to the continuous improvement of our team and processes.
12. Motivate direct reports by providing feedback, coaching, and skills development.
We would love to hear from you if
1. Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. 8+ years of experience in MLOps, DevOps, Data Science, or a similar role.
3. Strong knowledge of AWS and Google Cloud services in the context of machine learning and data processing.
4. Strong stakeholder management skills, ability to shape and influence technical conversations with peers and not only.
5. Strong coaching and mentorship skills, ability to help ML engineers and data scientists grow their technical skills.
6. Experience with modern ML frameworks.
7. Experience with IaC tools like Terraform.
8. Proficiency with SQL, Python.
9. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
