Position Overview:
We are seeking a Staff Analog IC Design Engineer to join our design engineering team in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced mixed-signal ICs and power conversion products, contributing to innovative solutions that drive the future of the power electronics industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop efficient and cost-effective gate driver and power conversion products.
- Design smart power functional blocks and complete mixed-signal ICs, from initial concept through to mass production readiness.
- Collaborate with IC Design team members to define chip architecture, refine it to block level, and finalize the chip floor plan.
- Innovate circuit solutions that implement complex control schemes to meet target system performance.
- Perform analog/mixed-signal circuit definition, design, and simulation.
- Apply best-practice analog IC design methods to ensure first silicon behaves as expected before tape-out.
- Work closely with layout engineers during physical design and verification processes.
- Support product validation, debug activities, and collaborate with Product, Quality, and Test Engineering teams through production ramp-up.
- Generate design documentation and actively participate in design reviews.
- Lead or support risk assessments, risk management, and Design/Product FMEAs.
- Contribute to improvements in design methodology and technology processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in analog and mixed-signal IC design.
- Strong knowledge of power semiconductors and their applications.
- Solid background in Power Conversion (AC-DC and DC-DC) circuit design.
- Expertise in analog IC design theory and best-practice methods.
- Experience in high-voltage analog and mixed-signal IC development, with technologies such as CMOS, BCD, and BiCMOS.
- Proven track record of IC designs successfully transitioning to production.
