The TWI Training Coordinator reports to the Training Manager. This role will provide support to the Value Stream department by coordinating the Northlake Training program (P4S). This position will be responsible for leveraging the skills of the Value Stream Department and support day-to-day operations using project management, organization, and communication skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Facilitate the sustainment and continuous improvement of the Northlake training program (P4S).
* Ensure all personnel training on a new job are following the official training program.
* Expand and/or update the training program as needed in other departments or new processes.
* Maintain training records and employee training database, including On-the-Job training, safety training, trainer training, internal auditor training, etc.
* Ensure all new hires (SIG and Temporary Employees) complete required formal new-hire training. Manage the training re-certification process for qualified personnel.
* Ensure work instructions are effective for training use; update work instructions as needed.
* Manage the change-control system, including product, process, and engineering changes.
* Administer the Pay-for-Skills program, including the scheduling of process training and maintaining the skills matrix.
* Evaluate the need for and schedule personal skill development training such as teamwork skills, leadership skills, quality concepts, lean principles, 5-S principles, etc.
* Track participation of various Northlake programs & teams (safety team, trainers, lean projects, quality team, etc.).
* Provide feedback to the Northlake Leadership Team on training and development program status and effectiveness.
* Develop and maintain strong, positive communication links with all departments, including Production, Maintenance, Shipping & Receiving, and Human Resources.
* Provide timely and accurate reporting on projects and activities as required.
* Actively participate in meetings and planning activities with production departments as requested.
* Provide training to production and maintenance personnel as needed or requested.
YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
* A minimum of 2 years of related experience or training.
* 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written communication such as work instructions, specifications, presentations, and e-mails.
* Ability to write standard work instructions.
* Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally.
* Ability to prepare and conduct training presentations.

* Must be able to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
* Frequently standing, walking, and sitting.
* Frequently required the use of hands to finger, feel, reach or handle machinery.

* Visual Acuity (VA).
