Communications Manager
This dynamic Communications Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing high-impact communication strategies in the fast-paced and exciting Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Manufacturing & Technical Operations (MTO) Supply Chain organization.
We are looking for an autonomous strategic thinker with a proven track record and experience in internal communications and the ability to equip our top leaders with the tools and resources needed to effectively engage our workforce of over 7000 employees within MTO sites and functions.
The ideal candidate should have a collaborative, growth mindset and the ability to easily navigate a highly complex and matrixed global supply chain environment. The candidate should also have experience in deprioritizing less impactful communications activities while delivering value-driven results in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reporting to the Manufacturing & Technical Operations Communications Leader, this role will require collaboration with MTO Supply Chain Leaders and Global Supply Chain Communications to develop and implement communication strategies that promote the organization's business priorities and objectives that enhance stakeholder engagement.
* Identify key messaging and editorial content that supports supply chain objectives and reinforces the company's culture, strategic priorities, vision, and values.
Strategic Communication Development:
* Design and facilitate strategic communication efforts to equip senior leaders with messaging and tools to effectively engage and motivate the workforce, enhancing employee understanding and buy-in for Manufacturing & Technical Operations supply chain initiatives.
* Develop and drive internal messaging and campaigns focused on engaging site operator employees and management with town halls, Viva Engage social media, employee events, and content that highlight the achievements, goals, and priorities of the Manufacturing & Technical Operations.
* Enforce our Innovative Medicine Supply Chain culture, strategic priorities, values, and narrative that should permeate the Manufacturing & Technical Operations organization communications efforts.
Prioritization and Cost Management:
* Assess current communication efforts and strategically deprioritize lower-value activities to focus on initiatives with the highest impact.
* Implement cost-effective solutions for achieving communication goals, leveraging digital channels and existing resources efficiently.
Stakeholder Engagement:
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and Global Supply Chain Communications on communication strategies and engagement tactics, providing insights and recommendations to enhance their effectiveness.
* Measure and collect feedback from employees and stakeholders to continuously improve communication strategies and approaches.
Performance Measurement:
* Establish metrics and analyze the effectiveness of communication initiatives, providing regular reports to senior leadership on engagement and impact.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications or public relations, preferably within healthcare sectors.
* Experience and proven track record implementing communications initiatives in Sustainability, DE&I, Digitalization, and Innovation.
* Proven experience in strategic communication planning and execution, with a focus on internal communications.
* Strong understanding of supply chain operations and the healthcare industry is advantageous.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
* Strong creative and graphics layout experience in PowerPoint, newsletter creation, and communication campaigns advantageous.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across complex functions and levels, influencing senior leaders effectively.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on results-oriented outcomes.
