Key Responsibilities:
* Validate novel thermodynamic and combustion concepts for 2-stroke WinGD engines.
* Develop engine control and tuning strategies to be tested on laboratory engines and verified on customer engines.
* Utilize one-dimensional engine simulation tools to support technology implementation and testing.
* Persistently update post-processor tools as new technologies are integrated into engines.
* Maintain comprehensive engine performance databases by collecting and analyzing testing results.
* Provide technical support to customers and licensees regarding related inquiries.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
* Substantial background in Combustion and Thermodynamics for internal combustion engines, specifically 2-stroke engines.
* Experience with engine process modeling and heat release analysis.
* Familiarity with control, tuning, and testing of internal combustion engines.
* Proficiency in utilizing one-dimensional engine simulation tools.
* Able to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
* Effective communication skills to interact with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Willingness to travel extensively, primarily to Asia, for several weeks to months at a time.
* Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.
* German language proficiency is beneficial.
