Your responsibilities
You will join the Procurement and Industrial Services Group (PI), which is responsible for procuring all supplies and services for the Organization, ensuring that the specified and contractual technical, delivery and performance requirements are met at the lowest possible overall cost whilst achieving balanced industrial returns for CERN Member States and respecting CERN's Procurement Rules. The Group monitors and reports procurement activities and statistics to CERN Management and Member State representatives.
The Orders, Stores, and BCO (Business Continuity Operations) section within CERN's Procurement and Industrial Services Group manages procurement orders below 50 kCHF, oversees Stores inventory procurement, develops standardization policies, handles stakeholder reporting requests, ensures business continuity in procurement operations, and maintains the supplier database.
In this role you will:
1. Manage reports and statistics for Industrial Liaisons officers and Procurement Officers on demand
2. Participate in the digitalization of the procurement tools (Trello, Ivalua, E-Procurement)
3. Understand databases (structure, key)
4. Be fluent in English; the ability to work in French would be an advantage.
Additional Information
Job closing date: 5th February 2025 at 12:00 AM (midnight) CET.
Contract duration: 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.

* By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Economics - Mathematics - Procurement (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
* You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
* Applicants without a University degree are not eligible.
