About this role
This position offers a unique opportunity to join our Total Rewards Team, driving the mobility program and ensuring HR tax compliance. The mobility program covers both employees on temporary international assignments and those permanently relocating to different Partners Group offices globally "mobile employees". You will work closely with regional HR teams worldwide to ensure all mobility-related policies and tax considerations are managed. Main responsibilities
* Governance and oversight, including consistent application of the global mobility policy in line with legislative and regulatory requirements, standards, and other relevant policies and guidelines. This includes judging when an exception is warranted.
* Advise and instruct regional payroll teams on long-term incentive payroll processing. Determine multiple locations where payroll tax liabilities arise due to mobile employee transfers during long-term incentives. Drive control processes to ensure reporting and taxation in multiple payrolls.
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives on personal or team members' relocation matters and coordinate tax-compliance services with third-party advisors.
* Work cross-functionally with the corporate tax department to flag corporate tax risks triggered by employee mobility. Contribute to corporate tax reporting of long-term incentives by providing accurate payroll data regarding mobile employees.
* Build and maintain successful relationships with global stakeholders.
* Provide excellent customer experience to relocating employees by advising them on key considerations.
* Contribute to day-to-day immigration processes, including business travel, by advising local HR Operations on tax liabilities abroad.
* Manage external relocation and tax providers.
What we expect
* University degree (preferably accounting, taxes, economics, or comparable studies) and/or minimum 7 years relevant experience in mobility.
* General knowledge of payroll, income tax, and social security principles.
* Experience in the corporate world, demonstrating a solid understanding of corporate structures and operations.
* Able to make directional decisions with respect to tax-compliance risks independently, in line with company philosophy.
* Excellent oral and written English skills.
* Team-oriented, can-do attitude with ability to work independently.
* Strong global mindset and sensitivity to various cultures.
* Ability to balance individual, people-oriented needs and company interests.
* Prior experience designing and monitoring processes to ensure global mobile tax compliance.
