As part of our development, we are seeking a Planning Engineer to join our team in Visp.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and update the master Primavera P6 schedule at various levels.
* Track progress and measure delivery using various tools.
* Maintain schedule basis documents such as deliverable and interdependency matrices.
* Lead or assist cross-functional teams in interactive planning sessions and drive inputs to the schedule.
* Monitor schedule deviations and variances, developing alternative methods for corrective action.
* Communicate progress and key milestones to all relevant stakeholders.
* Prepare and provide schedule progress reports, critical path analysis, trending charts, and schedule analysis on a periodic basis.
* Ensure the credibility of information contained in the schedule.
* Actively involve in analysis of integrated project schedules from each discipline.
* Review schedules with project team members regularly to ensure accurate and timely data is incorporated.
* Prepare reports according to procedures and as required by Project Management to provide status on the project schedule and critical project issues.
Your Profile:
* Degree or advanced degree from an accredited college or university. Engineering, Science, Quantity Surveying, or Business Management degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
* Excellent command of English required. Business fluent in German an advantage.
* More than 10 years of experience as a project planner for large pharmaceutical projects (> 250 Mio CHF).
* Relevant experience managing, administering, and working within a multi-user Primavera P6 project environment.
* Able to interpret schedule data consistently and efficiently, articulating relevant information to senior management.
* Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
* Experience working in a global environment.
* Experience in pharmaceutical projects using Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning type contracts.
* Strong analytical skills, able to analyze complex data sets, draw conclusions, and prepare decisions.
* Able to handle ambiguity, conform to shifting priorities, and demands.
* Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
