The GL Accountant we are looking for will be working on the following responsibilities :
- General ledger ownership including bookkeeping
- Close the books on time and accurately according to Local and US GAAP standards
- Ensure completeness, integrity and quality of P&L and Balance sheet in adherence to internal controls
- Provide account analysis and reconciliation of the Balance sheet accounts (Banks, Fixed Assets, Accounts receivables, Intercompany etc.)
- Communicate P&L result to various levels of management and provide result analysis
- Participate in the on-going SOX project and fulfil all SOX requirements
- Fulfil statutory requirements including account preparation, participation in audit and filing
- Review and improve current accounting processes
- Maintain close relationship with the market to improve reporting and information flows
- Participate in VAT and quarterly audits
- Participate in various finance projects and initiatives as needed
- Develop abilities to comprehend and explain to all levels of management the variances in expected results

The selected GL Accountant will come with the following background and experience :
- University degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 3 years' experience in an accounting or finance position
- Pro-active, can-do attitude, self-driven, adaptable and reliable
- Fluency in English and French
- IT skills: Excellent computer skills, especially with Excel. Knowledge of Oracle a plus
