As we continue to expand and diversify our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled Operations Research Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical role in advancing our mission to optimize operations, processes, and strategies across our diverse portfolio of businesses. If you are passionate about leveraging mathematical programming and cutting-edge optimization techniques to solve real-world challenges, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and optimize mathematical models for a variety of business applications, including industrial manufacturing, energy trading, logistics, and insurance.
2. Collaborate closely with business units to understand needs, define optimization problems, and deliver impactful solutions.
3. Develop and apply linear, nonlinear, and mixed-integer programming models, along with non-exact and stochastic optimization methods, to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
4. Ensure the robustness, scalability, and interpretability of optimization solutions deployed in production environments.
5. Research and evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies in operations research and mathematical optimization to drive innovation.
Qualifications:
1. A Master’s degree with at least 4-6 years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D., and 2-3 years of experience in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proficiency in optimization software (e.g., CPLEX, Gurobi) and strong programming skills in Python.
3. Strong programming skills in Python or other languages relevant to optimization and modeling.
4. In-depth knowledge of linear, nonlinear, and integer programming, and novel AI-based approaches.
5. Experience in building and solving large-scale optimization models.
6. Proven track record of implementing optimization-based solutions in real-world settings.
