Position summary
We are looking for a Boutique Assistant Manager at our boutique in Oshawa, Ontario. As a Boutique Assistant Manager, you will drive excellent results in all areas including team building, key performance indicators and boutique operations.
A day in the life
As a Boutique Assistant Manager, your main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Leadership/Team Management:
1. Support the implementation of company programs by motivating and instructing the team to meet operational and organizational objectives;
2. Recruit, hire, and motivate the team to provide exceptional customer service in keeping with our brand image;
3. Plan, identify, communicate, and delegate appropriate responsibilities to team, in conjunction with Boutique Manager, to ensure smooth operations;
4. Consistently review KPIs to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvements. Support action plan creation to achieve goals.
Operations:
1. Implement SOPs and guidelines for the boutique ensuring excellence in compliance, risk management, and health & safety;
2. Monitor and manage schedules to ensure boutique operations and customer service goals are met;
3. Understand, plan and prioritize achieving annual sales and wage cost targets aligned with Boutique Manager;
4. Use all operational tools to plan for and achieve excellence in staffing, monthly reports, cash management and inventory management;
5. Support stock team by performing spot checks and assisting with inventories and deliveries.
Sales and Customer Service:
1. Achieve with team the daily, weekly, monthly sales and service level targets set for the boutique;
2. Maximize guest frequency, sales and acquisition of new customers in the boutique;
3. Maximize capsule, accessories and machines sales in the boutique;
4. Continuously evaluate the quality of service, leveraging mystery shopper results to implement customer service action plan.
What will make you successful
1. 2-3+ Years of High-Volume, high-unit Retail Management; the luxury retail space is an asset
2. Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and multitask
3. Strong team-building skills with a history of effective coaching and development
4. Effective time management, communication, problem-solving and analytical skills
5. Passionate about coffee and sustainability
6. Experience in the food or coffee space is an asset
