Job Description: We are looking for a new superpower to join our kitchen team! Madame Sum is founded by three alumni of EHL and we are now expanding. Our passion is in creating dumplings for real foodies and especially something new for the food scene of Switzerland. For more information, feel free to look at our homepage.
Tasks Daily production and execution of recipes in a production kitchen environment
Work closely with the Head Chef and Production manager to execute daily tasks and improve processes
Improve recipes for quality and cost
Food preparation for catering, events and other
Bring good vibes to our kitchen crew
Support in the menu and concept of our pop up
Support in recipe elaboration, execution and control support
We value teamwork and deliver the best results that meet customer expectations
Support in receiving/handling/replenishment/storage procedures for dry and fresh products
Perform daily, weekly and monthly inventory and minimize material waste
Compliance with HACCP - Organize, clean and sanitize the walk-in refrigerator and all storage areas
Familiarize yourself with the correct use, maintenance and care of all equipment at each station
Participation in continuous on-site training to improve individual and team performance
Requirements Minimum 2+ years of kitchen experience (production kitchen experience is a plus)
A young and dynamic mindset, willing to learn and work in a collaborative team
Confident in recipe elaboration and control
English is a must! German is a plus
Swiss or EU passport (preferably with a working permit)
Currently living in Switzerland
