Eurovision Services (ES) is seeking a Network Engineer for our Technology Team at our headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
ABOUT THE ES TECHNOLOGY TEAM
The Technology Team is the driving force behind all our technical infrastructure, networks, corporate systems, and software IT. It is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining the entire technical landscape, which serves as the foundation for all permanent and event-based operational services for our customers (e.g., media organizations, sports federations, and event enterprises). The ES Technology Team ensures secure functionality while delivering cutting-edge technical solutions to provide high-quality services, achieve ambitious objectives, and deliver outstanding value to our customers, all while optimizing costs to improve our bottom line.
In this role as Network Engineer you will:
1. In collaboration with other members of the Network team, design, build and maintain Eurovision high-availability cloud and on-premise networks for IT and Digital Broadcast services.
2. Design, build and maintain cloud-based and on-premise security solutions.
3. Be involved in the delivery of services to our customers, partners and members.
4. Monitor and guarantee performance and availability of network services.
5. Handle level 2 support and service requests.
6. Suggest enhancements of our network and processes based on the needs of our customers.
7. Be involved in setup of temporary IT and digital broadcast networks to deliver major events worldwide.
8. Produce documentation in English.
9. Work during office hours with on-call availability outside office hours on a rotating basis.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate must have the following experience and skills:
1. 1-2 years of experience as a network security engineer or architect.
2. Basic knowledge of networking environments.
3. Familiarity with Cisco switching and routing products (e.g., Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, ASR). Experience with Cisco ACI is a plus.
4. Understanding of OSPF and BGP routing.
5. Basic knowledge of IPv4 multicast.
6. Basic knowledge of DNS, NTP, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP, SIP, SSL/TLS, and PKIs.
7. Basic knowledge of IPSEC VPN. Knowledge of OpenVPN is a plus.
8. Understanding of IPv6 connectivity and firewalling.
9. Basic knowledge of cloud computing, especially AWS.
10. AWS certification would be a plus.
11. Self-management and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
12. Good communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated experience to work effectively with remote teams.
13. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
