Preferred Location: Lausanne Area, within approx. 1h transportation (car/train).
Our client, a renowned Swiss manufacturer of high-quality manual dental instruments with a legacy of excellence for close to 100 years, is seeking a driven and hands-on Business Development Manager to co-create and execute their commercial strategy and actively engage with partners across the dental and medical device sectors.
This role is focused on profitable growth, building strong partnerships, and accelerating the future of the company through hands-on execution and operational excellence.
As a medium-sized company (20 employees) with a proud tradition of Swiss-made craftsmanship, our client is looking for a results-oriented leader to strengthen their market position and deliver sustainable value.
Your Responsibilities
1. Take a hands-on approach to developing and executing the company’s commercial strategy with a focus on creating value and accelerating growth.
2. Build and nurture relationships by actively visiting distributors and final customers to strengthen partnerships and identify opportunities for growth.
3. Identify and capitalize on opportunities to expand key markets.
4. Oversee and optimize distributor relationships to ensure alignment with company goals and values.
5. Ensure commercial strategies are aligned with profitable growth objectives and contribute to P&L performance.
6. Work closely with internal teams (e.g., production, R&D) to align commercial goals with operational capabilities.
7. Work hand in hand with the marketing manager to ensure continuity between commercial targets and marketing levers.
8. Leverage your dental or medical device experience to position the company as a trusted partner within the industry.
Your Profile
1. Experience in the dental industry is a must, ideally with distributor management.
2. Demonstrated experience managing distributor’s networks.
3. Able to deliver on P&L objectives and self-motivated to drive business success.
4. A self-motivated, execution-focused professional with a passion for delivering results.
5. Willingness to spend significant time engaging with customers and traveling across Europe.
6. Experience in an SME environment is highly beneficial.
7. Business fluency in German and English are a must; additional languages aligning with key markets are a plus.
