This role involves providing comprehensive support to enable the Local Authority (LA) to fulfill its statutory duties in relation to the assessment of pupils with special educational needs. The successful candidate will ensure efficient and effective implementation of statutory procedures and appropriate placement and ongoing provision arrangements for Enfield residing pupils both within and outside the LA area.
Key Skills:
1. A minimum of 6 months experience in SEN Casework and EHC Plan writing for a Local Authority is essential, with extensive experience working on a post-14 team.
2. Experience in Local Authority SEN within the last 2 years.
3. In-depth knowledge of The Children and Families Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice 2015, and SEND Regulations 2014.
4. An exceptionally high standard of written skills for producing EHCPs.
5. Excellent organisational skills to manage conflicting demands and meet deadlines.
