Your role:
As a Business Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting and optimizing the daily operations that keep grape running efficiently. You’ll collaborate across teams to enhance processes, improve automation, and contribute to the strategic goals of the company. This is a great opportunity for a data-driven thinker who thrives in dynamic environments, loves solving operational challenges and building automations.
What you’ll do:
Process Optimization & Project Execution
* Lead your own projects for the implementation of new tooling, as well as the development of specific modules for internal systems and processes.
* Write and manage feature requests for the development of internal software and workflow automations.
* Analyze, document, build, launch and improve workflows across departments (e.g., claims, underwriting, distribution, customer success, finance, legal etc.)
* Monitor and report operational bottlenecks, proposing actionable solutions having consistent check-ins with team members and leading select discovery sessions.
Systems Management
* Work together with our Business Operations Manager and Engineering teams to implement process enhancements and automate basic workflows for teams.
* Gather data and collect user insights into grape’s operational system architecture and assess automation potential across functions based on the limitations of the system.
* Shape data architecture and ensure data quality across the company.
* Act as the point person for managing and prioritizing business-critical troubleshooting requests, ensuring seamless functionality.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
* Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to improve team performance and prioritise automation efforts across departments.
* Build and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs and OKRs.
* Support onboarding and training initiatives related to new processes or tools.
* Carry-out strategic analysis to deliver business and market insights, solve business questions, provide decision-making support, and uncover new opportunities.
* Hold key stakeholders accountable to the results through quantitative analysis and dashboard reporting of key metrics.
* Work in partnership with the leadership team, across various business lines to connect strategic, commercial, and collective business goals.
What you’ll need:
* Proficiency with Microsoft/Google Suite.
* Familiarity with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and automation tools (e.g., Make.com).
* Experience with scripting or BI softwares a plus.
* Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to independently navigate complex challenges in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams and experience engaging senior stakeholders.
* A proactive attitude, eager to learn and ready to adapt to thrive in dynamic, evolving environments.
* 3-5 years of experience in strategy, business operations, or consulting—preferably within high-growth startups or scale-ups.
* Fluency in German and English (written and spoken).
