Your day at NTT DATA
The Manager, Inside Sales & Sales Operations is a management role, responsible for overseeing and managing the inside sales team's daily operations in order to drive sales and achieve organizational goals. The role also involves operationally managing a team of functional individual contributors focused on enabling the sales force with relevant and valuable sales tools, processes, methods and training.
Key Responsibilities:
* Train, mentor, coach, and supervise inside/tele sales team, ensuring they have the required tools, processes and systems to achieve their targets.
* Prioritize and allocate resources.
* Assist the sales team to define the way they approach the market and achieve set targets through enabling effective sales processes, tools and training.
* Responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with existing clients to maximize sales and client satisfaction.
* Act as mentor/coach and advisor that assists the sales force by delivering consistent and valuable training interventions that enable continuous improvement and revenue growth whilst closing skills gaps.
* Focus on building and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
* Handle contract renewals and negotiate terms to ensure client retention.
* Identify and manage improvements in the inside sales processes.
* Monitor and report on sales metrics to senior management/leadership.
* Improve sales performance through continuously evolving processes, technology and methodologies to meet deliverables.
* Provide the knowledge and skills that enable successful customer business outcomes.
* Provide sales process management support to sales teams.
Knowledge and Attributes:
* Advanced knowledge of the organization's products/services with the ability to explain their features and benefits to clients.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
* Advanced business acumen with capability in negotiating contract terms, pricing, and upselling opportunities to maximize revenue and client retention.
* Advanced proficiency in operationally managing a team.
* Advanced analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
* Advanced strategic and operational team leadership skills and able to effectively manage the resources that report to them.
* Advanced collaboration skills and able to interact professionally and to build sound relationships at all levels internally and externally.
* Advanced ability to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
* Bachelor's degree in sales, business administration, or a related field.
Required Experience:
* Advanced experience in a similar inside sales management role, preferably gained within a global technology services organization.
* Advanced experience managing an inside sales / sales operations team.
* Advanced sales and client engagement experience.
* Advanced experience negotiating with clients and vendors.
* Advanced strategic and operational planning experience.
* Advanced systems experience.
