We are seeking a passionate and talented PhD candidate, ideally with a background in applied mathematics or theoretical physics, to join our cutting-edge research at HEIG-VD and at the University of Geneva. This project focuses on optimizing Large Language Models (LLMs) to detect and manage exceptional health situations, such as epidemics or unforeseen crises.
Project Highlights:
* Develop advanced machine learning algorithms to identify early warning signals of health crises.
* Optimize health system responses in real-time using AI and deep learning techniques.
* Collaborate with experts from the University of Geneva and the University Hospitals of Geneva (HUG).
Candidate Profile:
* Master's degree (or engineering diploma) in applied mathematics, theoretical physics, statistics, computer science, or equivalent.
* Strong experience in machine learning, deep learning (DNNs), and language model optimization.
* Proficiency in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and modern AI tools.
* Demonstrated ability to conduct rigorous academic research.
* Autonomy, creativity, and analytical mindset.
* Fluency in English with strong writing skills.
